In the spring of 2004, Dr. Elliot Steger, local physician and accomplished musician, performed a concert for the benefit of the Acton-Boxborough United Way. It was an amazing night of music, humor and talent, and featured an opening performance by 13 Fish Named Jennifer, a student a capella group from the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. Over 600 people attended and enjoyed Dr. Steger’s original jazz compositions, along with his interpretation of many pieces such as “Over the Rainbow”, “Piano Man”, and others.

Given the success of the first concert, Dr. Steger very graciously performed another concert for us in the spring of 2005. It was once again a wonderful evening and a great success!

Special thanks to Middlesex Savings Bank and Bursaw Gas & Oil for sponsoring both events, and to the over 50 local businesses who supported the Concert for Community.
