  Acton-Boxborough United Way Grant Applications Agencies or groups applying to the ABUW must provide programs that meet identified needs in the community of a social service nature. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status; those entities without such status, but who provide a program meeting the above criteria, should contact our office for further information. In addition to programs that serve various targeted care areas such as children and youth, the elderly, hunger and housing, family counseling services, mental health service, domestic violence issues, developmental disability services, health education and treatment, the ABUW is also interested in applications from organizations working on concerns such as the needs of non-English speaking residents.
