Dear Neighbors,

As I reflect on my 2nd year as the Executive Director for ABUW, I have a deep sense of gratitude for this community. Every day, I am impressed and appreciate the incredible talent of the volunteers and human service agencies that work to make this a healthy and supportive community where people can thrive.

The most effective community based organizations, never say "I" but think and act as "we." With greater collaboration and integration of resources and services, we can all increase our impact.  Thank you for your generosity and involvement. We look forward to another great year.

At the Annual Meeting on June 15th, ABUW welcomed a new president and six new board members. Liz Markiewicz, a resident of Boxborough for over 17 years, was elected as President. Liz thanked Jane Boatright for her past years of dedicated service to ABUW, including serving as president for the past two years. The community also expressed great appreciation for the services of outgoing board members

Jo-Ann Berry, Suzanne Joris, Lisa Robb, Jenna Mullen and Kelly Donovan.

The six new members of the ABUW Board of Directors reflect broad and extensive expertise and community leadership. We warmly welcome: Jay Bhatia, Ann Budner (missing from photo), Beth Farley, Marvin Gould, Lauren Rosenzweig-Morton, and Jim Schmidt.
