Sandra L. Campbell, Executive Director
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for managing the business of the ABUW, for providing professional direction and leadership to board members and other volunteers, for staffing the various committees, and for providing support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of the various programs of the ABUW.
Sandy has been with the Acton-Boxborough United Way, serving as Executive Director, since September of 1995. Her professional background includes high-tech trade show and conference production & planning, as well as marketing services and support. Sandy, an Acton native, is a graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, and the University of Southern Maine. She, her husband, Seth, and their daughter live in West Acton. Beyond the ABUW, Sandy is an active member and officer of the South Acton Congregational Church, an active volunteer at her daughter’s school, and other local organizations, and is a former Board member of the Massachusetts Spina Bifida Association.
Sandy’s professional and community involvement on behalf of the Acton-Boxborough United Way includes service on the Board of Directors of the Community Alliance for Youth; as the Secretary and member of the Executive Committee of the Council of Massachusetts United Ways; and as a representative of the ABUW to the Advisory Council of the United Ways of New England.
