Acton-Boxborough United Way provides crucial funding for essential services to help our children, teens, seniors, disabled, and families through local grants. Our normal grant deliberation process requires a completed Grant Application, in-depth interviews and site visits. We study applicants' financial stability, quality of programs, collaborations, specific services to Acton-Boxborough residents, and more.

S.A.G.E. Fund Available to Meet Immediate Needs
ABUW launched the new Special Assistance for Grants & Emergencies fund (S.A.G.E.) to address urgent and immediate needs within the community. Our goal is to be more flexible and responsive to new initiatives that emerge outside of our regular grant cycle. This grant serves as a vehicle to meet immediate needs such as food, fuel and rent for those struggling to make ends meet. Individuals must work through the many human service agencies serving the community and should not contact ABUW directly.
