Hours: 12 hours/week, Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM (some flexibility possible)
Compensation: $22–$25/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The Community Welcome & Administrative Coordinator is the first face many people see when they visit the AB Resource Center — a warm, organized, and multilingual professional who creates a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the door. This role is a blend of receptionist, program assistant, and administrative support, ideal for someone who loves people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to make a tangible difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Visitor Support (50%)
- Greet all visitors warmly and professionally
- Guide individuals through our intake process
- Share available resources and make appropriate referrals to local partners
- Express appreciation to volunteers and donors (including those bringing clothing donations)
- Offer tours of the AB Resource Center and our free clothing shop
- Maintain a calm and friendly tone, even on busy days
Administrative Support (50%)
- Enter and update data in our donor and client tracking systems
- Send thank-you notes to donors and volunteers (template-based and personalized)
- Categorize financial transactions and support bookkeeping
- Assist with updating our website and outreach materials
- Help with planning and logistics for events and seasonal drives
- Provide general administrative and organizational support to the staff team
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, plus fluency in Portuguese (preferred) or Spanish
- Excellent interpersonal skills — welcoming, empathetic, and respectful to people of all backgrounds
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms)
- Able to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced, people-centered environment
- Cultural competency and discretion when working with sensitive personal information
- Prior experience in a nonprofit, customer service, or human services setting is a plus
Additional Details
- Position is on-site at 15 Charter Rd, Acton (inside the AB Schools Administration Building)
- Standard hours are Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM. Open to adjustments to fit the right candidate’s schedule needs. Some flexibility to help at occasional weekend/evening events is a plus.
