What We Do

The Acton-Boxborough United Way is a local non-profit working to improve lives in our two towns by mobilizing the caring power of community.

• We identify and raise awareness of critical human needs in our community.
• We support strong partnerships between human service agencies, volunteers, local business, and government.
• We provide funding for essential services to help our children, teens, seniors, disabled, and families.

How We Do It

• We communicate with human service agencies, town officials, and other community leaders to stay aware of developing needs and issues in Acton and Boxborough
• We organize forums that bring community and government leaders together with human service agencies
• We provide information and initiate services for residents in need.
• We raise funds through residential appeals, business sponsorships, work-place campaigns, and local events.
• We allocate funds to agencies and organizations providing health and human service assistance to area residents  . . . after a careful and deliberate grant process.
